Weekly Photo Challenge: Home

Image

ImageThat is the picture of my building which I took from my crappy cell phone. I remember taking one years ago for a similar task, couldn’t find it so decided to take a new one instead. My building was the last one in my colony to be re-painted again a year ago or so, and I’m not a big fan of the colour(s). Well atleast because of the bit different look, becomes easy for others to understand. So this is (technically) my home.

A random car probably of a visitor of some resident, 2 random stones I don’t know why placed there, quite some greenery in the entire colony and relatively quiet except for those very annoying and incredibly lousy festival times.

A more definitive way of the idea of home can be seen here in post for a previous challenge. And in a more literal sense, what makes my house my home, you can see here.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Unique

Image

This week’s challenge was another interesting one, and when I thought about something unique, isn’t it ironic that there are so many in our world and universe which is are unique? Unique in their own ways?

The best representation of unique for me is

ImageMyself.

Who or what else could it be? Who could be more unique than yourself in this existence? Well sorry to sound also pessimist here at the same time, we are all drowning in this vast ocean of unique individuals here who do big things and achieve great wonders. While I admire many such people myself, never fail to recognize oneself as important, that is the first step in achieving something in life, Or at least it will help you not be suicidal.

Coming to the picture above, as you can already see how I look by just looking a bit at the left, that picture was taken in the Mumbai Comic-Con 2012. There was booth for promoting The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey too and ‘best photographs’ were in for some prizes. I don’t know how they judged, maybe for cos-players but needless to say I won some cool The Dark Knight Rises merchandise πŸ˜€

And I got that Guy Fawkes mask from the BombayMerch booth, which is one of the most famous online shopping sites in my city which is founded and owned by a very old friend of mine. Always wanted (an authentic) one and got it, known by the epic graphic novel/movie V for Vendetta and used by infamous hacktivist group Anonymous, as it has become a symbol of freedom and revolution.

Beneath this mask, there is more than flesh. Beneath this mask, there is an idea. And ideas are bulletproof.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Beyond

Weekly Photo Challenge: Beyond

This is a photo taken back in late 2007 or early 2008 exactly which I can’t remember right now. It is a view from the top of my school from one of the buildings, and since my home is about 5 minutes away this is more or less a view from my home too.

What strikes me in this picture as it has the natural beauty in it, the slums and the fancy big buildings all around together in one place. I live in quite the mixed neighborhood. It shows me that the world is out there to be faced. Well the sky looks good too. While there many photos which I could have put up here which reflected beyond to me, for this reason this image struck me the most here.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Illumination

Weekly Photo Challenge: Illumination

My idea of illumination: Randomness. This was taken at a mall where I was hanging out in the last week of 2012, sitting idly and just looking at something to click. Completely random. I’m fascinated by lights and such decoration, but this tells the truth as per my perception.

Well apart from that, my precious laptop too πŸ˜€
