Blog Journey

When you started your blog, did you set any goals? Have you achieved them? Have they changed at all?

I’ve been blogging for almost 7 years or so. It started initially with some random mumbling with a picture or two when I was in school. I started a proper blog after I came from a camp in summer of ’07 to Sikkim, the Indo-China border and some pretty cool northern places of the country. That is my first proper and now long running blog which you can read in the description, and if you’re the lazy type click here. Soon enough it turned out to be more than just a hobby, but in a way, a way of life. People often told me I write and make points well, but I still think I just do what I want and nothing great (yet). Though I would love to write on some big projects some day. Now I write on two blogs, this one for my daily more writing my mind (or not quite) off. So while I didn’t plan anything in particular, turned out pretty neat so far huh?

Darth Vader gift!

Although this prompt is for bittersweet memories, since I’m opting for the photography mode as usual, here is a recent sweet gift I got from a kind redditor and complete stranger from Australia, via Star Wars exchange on redditgifts. It’s all about giving and sharing the love, where people all over the world gift absolute strangers, having their identity secret mostly (by default) and in the end one can choose to say who you are if you want. I have hardly celebrated any occasion in my life let alone getting gifts, but this was completely awesome. Check out this gift’s complete details here.

You encounter a mysterious man offering you a magic potion that, once sipped, will make one of your senses (sight, hearing, taste, smell, touch) super sharp β€” but dull the others. Will you sip it, and if so, what sense do you choose?

In this previous post, I had pictured taste but mentioned that is third importance to me after vision and sensation. Now here, the question is more tricky. If asked one which I could compromise, with difficulty I would say I’d let go of smell which according to me is the least important only among the five relatively and not absolutely. However if I could sharpen one and dull all for? I’d chose none. I’d rather have all of them working fine thank super-powering one at the cost of others. That doesn’t make sense logically and practically speaking (even if it was possible in the first place).

Comics are Awesome

This was too awesome not to share. (Go give the artist some a lot of love)

ImageDown the left – Spidey reads some Ultimate Spidey with Mr Fantastic looking over his shoulder, and the Torch making mischief, much to Sue’s protests. Gwen peacefully reads Shadoweyes. Hellboy, Thing and Hulk bond over Darkwing Duck, while Usagi Yojimbo relaxes with some explosions, and behind them Atomic Robo and Asterix catch Doctor Doom shoplifting.

Middle – Robin, Batgirl and Spider-Woman thrill to the exploits of the Savage Dragon. Archie, Betty and Veronica share a volume of Runaways, with Frankie making eyes at Ronnie while the Goon takes in some four colour goodness. Blue Beetle disapproves of Booster Gold colouring in the comics, while Cyclops, Kitty Pryde, Colossus, and Pheonix chill with their respective comics.

And at the right – Thorn reads the Wonderful Wizard of Oz to an enthralled Possum Kids and Bone (who has set down his copy of Moby Dick long enough to enjoy some real entertainment), Thor, Batman, Invincible, Batwoman, Nightcrawler, and a positively smitten Wolverine. Death appreciates the genius of the Muppet Show, and Ant-Man and the Wasp read over the shoulder of Wonder Woman and Harley Quinn, who are getting acquainted over the widely downloaded (and awesome) Underground, while Iron Man restocks.

Short Description – COMICS ARE AWESOME!Β  πŸ˜‰

Just Hands

My hands! Well on a relevant note, my hands a smaller compared to those of an average male of my age or whatever. Also, don’t know why, all of my ten fingers are crooked and not normal. Did I put my hands ‘in the wrong place’ when I was a kid? Don’t know. And, they are actually soft, often mocked for being soft as a girl, and people think I don’t do any work at all because of it. What idiotic non-sense. Well doesn’t matter, as many people, especially ladies like touching and ‘feeling’ my hands, which I don’t mind at all. πŸ˜› And besides I do great and ‘magical’ work with my hands/fingers too, which I won’t describe in detail. Not just limited to writing. πŸ˜‰

Storage Memory

Here is picture showcasing memory for me.

ImageHere you can see a oval stone painted by yours truly which is almost 15 years old!Β  I loved collecting all sorts of stones back in the day, I might even have them lying around hopefully. Beside it is a ghost I made which is also very old similar to the stone. Just a ball wrapped around and sealed with a handkerchief and and sparkles for the face. I actually had names for these two, which I sadly don’t remember but I’m sure I must have written it somewhere, as I was always a loner and tend to write and keep to myself most of the time.

Aside from these two self made items which one would probably find in a garage sale of the like, the other stuff you can is are also pertained to the old days of mine, The blue thing is the butt of a big pencil sharpener in the shape of a cute baby elephant. Okay not that cute. That my pop got from Singapore, again over a decade ago. Along with that in the side are Snoopy and some Hello Kitty figurines also bought with the elephant sharpener.

And the two big stuff in between are my old yet one of the most amazing phones of that time, Sony Ericsson C905 which now lies in rest. Good memories. And my precious Linkin Park dog tags from ’03. Only current stuff is my house keys with the NY key chain which I currently use. πŸ˜›
