Do you need to agree with an artist’s lifestyle or politics to appreciate their art? To spend money on it?

No, not at all. Understanding the difference between one’s work and one’s views is important, which most people fail to see in multiple scenarios not limited to this. Why would I bother with what an artists does apart from his work which is the main reason I’m a fan of? There might be more aspects worth admiring, but if there aren’t, well that is simply none of my business.
