On the surface everything appeared nice and calm, while the storm brewing within only the head knew. Relentless intrigue or plain nervousness, none knew.
She was radiant with beauty, and that was the least interesting thing about her. Over fifty-hundred thoughts bashing the head, her one smile stole them all.
Make Me Smile
If you’re feeling blah, what is the one thing you do that you can count on to put a smile on your face?
That’s actually quite a difficult task in my case, you may never know what it can be as there’s nothing fixed in this regard. The right person at the right time can perhaps make a difference.
In the Summertime
Theoretically, summer will return to the polar-vortex-battered Northern Hemisphere. What are you looking forward to doing this summer? If you’re in the Southern Hemisphere, what are your fondest memories of Summer past?
In reality, it’s always freaking hot here (in Mumbai). I can’t wait for the winter again.
Do you love to dance, sing, write, sculpt, paint, or debate? What’s your favorite way to express yourself, creatively?
I just do things.
We all get jealous from time to time — what wakes the green-eyed monster for you?
While I like to believe I’ve grown past the stage of being jealous for petty worldly reasons as a person, of course there are times that I get a sting of it. Like people who get to travel and explore the world early/easy on.
But what really gets to me is some folks is their brilliance. I’m at both admiration and envious of such people who seem perfect to me, to be able to look at the world in a bright and realistic side, and love endlessly no matter what. And get it in return, as well. The irony being this perfection is the result of actually being very flawed, and there lies the beauty of it.
Weekly Photo Challenge: Street Life
I was wondering what to put for this one, then went to drop a friend at the new international airport here and dam it’s one magnificent site to see!
Lookin’ Out My Back Door
Look out your back window or door — describe what you see, as if you were trying to convey the scene to someone from another country or planet.
Trees. Building apartments. And more trees.
Land of Confusion
Which subject in school did you find impossible to master?
The school (and system) in which I studied in had three languages, English of course as the first, Marathi as a second language (which is of the state) and third Hindi (widely misunderstood as the national language of India by most Indians, which is not) till grade 7 and later instead of that Sanskrit, till I passed out school. While English was a cakewalk for me and Sanskrit was purely for mark hogging thanks to our great education system (sarcasm hint not required), it’s the other two are really struggled with. And that moment of relief when I passed school and never had to deal with them anymore!
If I Could Turn Back Time
If you could return to the past to relive a part of your life, either to experience the wonderful bits again, or to do something over, which part of you life would you return to? Why?
There are so many instances which I could go back to and like to do differently (don’t we all?). Most would revolve around doing it another way (is there even a right way of doing anything?)
