How do you pick what blogs or books to read? What’s the one thing that will get you to pick up a book or click on a link every single time?

I come across many cool blogs/bloggers thanks to wordpress and indiblogger mainly apart from just browsing, and while books are concerned from various sources. Though reading been has been a all time low these times which I need to fix.
